BCP Meets Inverarity Morton’s Grape Expectations
Scotland’s leading wine and spirit merchant, Inverarity Morton, will improve their operational efficiency and increase their competitive edge with a new supply chain management system from Business Computer Projects (BCP).
Inverarity Morton has used a bespoke ERP system for the last 40 years. But, it no longer meets the demands or reporting requirements of the thriving wholesaler. They have therefore chosen to replace it with the Accord™ system from BCP.
They chose Accord following an intensive selection process. This gave BCP the chance to demonstrate a system which had the rigorous and real-time functionality that Inverarity Morton was looking for. What made Accord stand out was the inclusion of end-to-end Voice WMS capabilities. As a result they will be able to easily view and report on their whole business; from goods received through to picking, stock taking and shipping.
David Taylor from Inverarity Morton said “Accord will give us greater control of our entire picking operation which will improve our accuracy and efficiency. It will also help us gain better business intelligence so we can improve our product offerings to our customers.”
This customer-focused approach is the key to Inverarity Morton’s success. Their commitment to providing the best quality and value for money means they have long-lasting relationships with customers. Something which their new software supplier fully understands is critical to success.
“To survive in today’s competitive market wholesalers need to exploit real-time business data. They can then align their services to meet their customers’ needs.” Explains Chris Pass at BCP. “We’re delighted to be working with Inverarity Morton to implement a system we know will help them deliver a service beyond their customers’ expectations.” He continues.
BCP has started work on implementing the new 90 user Accord system at Inverarity Morton’s site in Glasgow. It is due to go live early next year. As a result, they will reduce costs, improve accuracy and increase productivity.
Accord is a flexible system that solves a range of issues throughout the supply chain. It is specifically designed for wholesalers in the food and drink industry to help them compete in today’s fast-paced digital world.
