Shona joined Marks & Spencer in 1997. Following the completion of the Graduate Commercial HR Management Training Programme, she carried out a number of HR Generalist and Specialist Strategic roles within M&S across the UK.
From 2005 to 2007, Shona programme managed and lead a number of change initiatives within the Public Sector. And then in January 2008, Shona became self employed and was a Director and joint Owner of Ghost Commercial Resources Ltd until August 2009. During this time, she worked with a range of clients: Global Retail and Commercial Banking division of Barclays Bank, Highlands and Islands Airports Limited, Alstom, Reliance Group UK, Scott and Fyfe Ltd.
In August 2009, Shona became the sole Director of her own company, Momentum Consulting (Scotland) Limited, which focuses on providing end to end commercial HR and People solutions to businesses.
Following a year on maternity leave, Shona then worked primarily within the Financial Services sector in Edinburgh from early 2011. Firstly, working with and supporting the Executive team in AEGON Edinburgh on their culture change programme, global employee engagement and organisational development and then as Interim Head of Organisational Capability for Sainsbury’s Bank.
Since then Shona has been working with a number of clients including: Crieff Hydro, Inverarity Morton – working with the Executive team on their plans for Organisational Development, setting up an HR function, delivering Senior Management and supporting Middle Management recruitment and design/delivery of leadership/management development programmes.
