Our Wine School is a centre of excellence for wine and spirits training: year on year we put through more candidates than any other supplier in Scotland and we have twice been finalists in the Wine & Spirit Education Trust’s (WSET) global Educator of the Year award.
WSET
We run regular WSET Level 1, 2 and 3 programmes in addition to our online FLOW modules, which provide a good foundation for newcomers to the trade.
More about Wine & Spirit Education Trust Qualifications:
Level 1 Foundation Certificate: This is a two-day intensive course that provides the basic product knowledge and skills needed in the sale and service of wine.
Level 2 Intermediate Certificate: This course is conducted over an eight-week period and offers broad coverage of all product categories in the field of wines and spirits, together with basic wine tasting technique. It underpins job skills and competencies in the customer service and sales functions of the hospitality, retail and wholesale industries.
Level 3 Advanced Certificate: The ten-week programme offers more comprehensive coverage of the wide range of wines and spirits around the world and is best suited to individuals in a supervisory role. The qualification has an increased focus on wine tasting technique.
