Engaging our Key Communities
Adopting a social sustainability focus, which involves our valued people and partners as well as our local community
By focusing on our people, our product and our service, we have worked hard to establish a reputation at the forefront of our industry. Our social sustainability plans extend to involve our local communities and its people, our highly valued customers and suppliers, as well as our own employees with the aim of driving wellbeing and positive social impact for all of these key stakeholder groups.
Our Staff Wellbeing
We ensure our staff are fully aligned with our business goals and aims, by sharing our key company information, as well as providing training and education opportunities and an internal SharePoint facility provides a centralised information hub for the dissemination of these important, company-wide updates.
A Health & Safety Committee is well-established across all Inverarity Morton departments and a practice known as “Insight’s Training” has been provided for all staff, facilitating an understanding of each team members’ strengths which has had a noticeably positive impact on our group projects and teamworking approach.
Our Community Engagement
We believe passionately in actively supporting our local communities and have focused our efforts in several areas. Not only are we proud shirt sponsors of our local football team, Woodbank FC, each year we also support a broad variety of charities and events including the annual Malawi Dinner at Oran Mor Glasgow, the Royal Marine Association and Uncle Bob’s Big Cycle.
We are also active members and honoured supporters of the BEN, the Scottish Drinks and Hospitality Industry Charity, who care for people in the Scottish drinks and hospitality industry.
Our Customer & Supplier Engagement
We offer and fund hospitality training for our customers through the Wine & Spirits Education Trust (WSET) training programme. In tandem with The Macallan, we also hosted a ‘Women in Whisky’ dining event at Cail Bruich, Glasgow, in 2024 and brought the event to The Balmoral and The Register Club, Edinburgh in 2025 in celebration of women working within the world of whisky. On International Women’s Day 2024 itself, we held EXPLORE.TASTE.LOVE, an all-female panel event, featuring renowned female winemakers and growers, as well as others working in the international wine world, all sharing engaging stories and experiences. We are also proudly a Scottish Organic Producers Association SOPA Certified importer.
