GLENFIDDICH 30 YEAR OLD CELEBRATED WITH EXCLUSIVE TOM KITCHIN MENU EVENT
New look for rare vintage is unveiled at The Kitchin Restaurant in Edinburgh
William Grant & Sons UK relaunched its Glenfiddich 30-year-old single malt scotch whisky at an exclusive event last week with The Kitchin Restaurant, Edinburgh. Trade guests from across Scotland were treated to a bespoke seasonal menu created by Michelin starred Chef Tom to celebrate the new packaging design. Mark Thomson, Glenfiddich Brand Ambassador for Scotland, selected a range of Glenfiddich whiskies to perfectly match the evening’s menu, which culminated with the Glenfiddich 30-year-old.
A rich and complex whisky, the 30-year-old is a marriage of both American and European cask matured whiskies from Glenfiddich which began their time is cask in the late 1980s. With warming spiced fruits and buttery sweetness, the 30-year-old Glenfiddich is a shining example of spirit and wood in perfect harmony.
Inverarity Morton, Scotland’s leading independent wine and spirits wholesaler also supported the launch by providing wines to pair with courses. The wines were introduced by Guy Chatfield, Wine Brand Manager, and included Ugovezolli Franciacorta Brut DOCG, Jean Loron Pouilly Fuisse, and Sacred Hill Helmsman Cabernet Sauvignon.
Mark Thomson commented:
“The setting for Wednesday’s event could not have been more perfect and all the elements combined to create the most memorable evening. Our guests seemed suitably impressed, especially with the 30-year old which rose to the occasion. Whilst the whisky inside the bottle not changing, we wanted to give our guests the opportunity to try this exceptional dram, in exquisite surroundings, to celebrate its new exquisite packaging.”
